William J. Kane

William J. “Bill” Kane, 83, of Orland Park, passed away peacefully May 4th, 2026. Son of the late William Joseph Kane and Maryetta (nee Walsh). Loving father of Erin Kane (Matt) and Laura (William) Shoults, dear grandfather of William and Patrick. He is also survived by sisters Mary (late husband Phil) and Patricia (James), and preceded in death by sister Nancy and brother James.

An Air Force veteran, Bill enjoyed sharing stories about his subsequent work as an elevator mechanic. He was active in the community including the Lions Club, and had a lifelong passion for sports. He loved to joke around and make people laugh.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Saturday, May 16, 2026 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service 7:30 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills, IL 60465

Interment will by held at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
