Teresa Ortiz
Teresa Ortiz, age 92. Born and raised in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. Passed away on October 3, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Federico Ortiz; daughter Denny Bereckis (Kelly); her sons John “Jake” Bereckis(Nancy); J. Efrain Sanchez (Elvira); Carlos Sanchez (Maritza); and her grandchildren: John Jr. (Melanie), Alyssa, Camila, Carlos, Cassandra, Lindsey, Luis, Nick, and Noel; and her great-grand children: Annalise and Lillyan. Teresa enjoyed watching the Western channel and loved spending time with her family.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Sunday, October 12, 2025 3-8 p.m. Funeral Services Monday, October 13, 2025, Service 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery
