Tammy Lynn Sedat- Gorel, 55 passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13th, 2026, with her family and friends by her side. Loving wife of Joseph Gorel of Burbank IL, married for 20 beautiful years.

Cherished daughter of Peter and the late Kristine(nee Weber) Sedat of Lampe Missouri, Dearest sister of Heidi (Ted M.) Wyma, Beecher IL. Fond Aunt of Jennifer Wyma, Beecher IL

Devoted fur mama to Chloe & Spike.

Dearest granddaughter to the late Florian Weber and Winnifred (nee Moore) and Anna Sedat; Dear niece of Jim (late Patricia) Russell, Sandy(late Kurt) Weber, and Yvonne (late Jeffrey) Weber, Raymond Durville and the late  Jim & Delores Weber. 

Fond cousins to Lisa (Dan) Yuhan, Thomas Weber, Richard (Mary) Weber, Kim Malloy ,Ken Weber, Kyle Weber and Karri Weber, Jim (Kathy) Russell, Michael Russell, and Danny (Renee) Russell, Connie (Glenn) Terel, Debbie (Dan) Russell and Barbara Russell.

Tammy, grew up in Oak Forest, Illinois had many friends. She attended LeeR Foster, Laramie Jr High and graduated from Oak Forest High School in 1988. She then went on to a local college to South Suburban and Moraine. She finally completed her achievements by getting her Masters in Social Work at Governors State University. Her passion in life was to help victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse.

When Tammy had a goal, she achieved it, no matter what, how big, she always took the challenge regardless of what tried to hold her back, she did it, she was a fighter. Tammy loved animals no matter how big, or small she had quite a few birds, ferrets, Lizards, gerbils ,and most of all her dogs. She enjoyed the simple things in life as well, such as crafting, music, concerts, Chicago Blackhawks games and her Green Bay Packers. She was quite the fashion queen, always hip to the latest trends. She also liked experimenting with her concoctions, and wouldn't you know, she hit a great one her Super Rice, big hit for 35 years and still going strong.

We all had a special bond with Tammy, every one as unique as her

We will all miss Tammy's contagious laugh, talks on the phone, silliness, tight hugs, and the Love she had for all of us, and the battles she fought in her life remind us to Never Give up!
