Raymond L. Sonntag, age 80 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Raymond was a resident of Palos Heights, IL. Retired C.F.D. Eng 45. Beloved husband of the late Mary "Sue" nee Prendergast Sonntag; loving father of Raymond and Antonio Sonntag, Alicia (John) Stang, Eric (Jules) & William (Janina) Sonntag, Heidi (Edward) Wagner and the late James (Kristen) Sonntag; Cherished grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle to many; dearest brother of William (Susan) Sonntag, Elizabeth (John) Borkowski, Fredrick (Kathy)Sonntag, Lorelle (the late John ) Kiefer, Edward (Kathleen) Sonntag and the late Thomas Sonntag.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Monday, October 16, 2023 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. with Funeral Service 7:00 p.m. at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills, IL 60465. A Graveside Interment will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 11:00 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
