Patricia Ann Assmus (née Hall), age 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep.
Born in Chicago, Patricia lived a life centered on family, faith, and simple joys. For 56 years, she was the beloved wife and partner of Carl F. Assmus. Together, they built a life filled with love, hard work, and devotion, including many years side by side at Bestway Heating.
She was the loving mother of Steven (Iryna) Assmus, Laura (Brian) Vanselow, Timothy Assmus, Jeffrey Assmus, and Christina (Richard) Baskall. Patricia was a proud grandmother of Stephanie, Ella, CJ, Nathan, Tristin, Lily, Violet and Ryder, each of whom brought her great joy. She was the cherished sister of John (Jean) Hall, Jim Hall, Eileen (Mike) Glynn, and Marilyn (Jim) Brown. Aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Richard and Irene Hall, and her brother Daniel Hall.
Patricia’s warmth and creativity shone through in the things she loved most—gardening, cooking, baking, and collecting antiques and cruets. She had a knack for turning ordinary days into special ones, whether by preparing a meal, tending her garden, or sharing a story.
Above all, Patricia will be remembered for her kind heart, steady presence, and the love she poured into her family and friends.
