Nickolaos Karakatsanis

Nickolaos “Nick” Karakatsanis, age 88, of Palos Hills, formerly of Kyria, Greece, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at home with his family at his side. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Eleni (née Theoharopoulos) for over 50 years. Loving father of Alex and Stella (Michael) Melone. Cherished grandfather of Zoe Eleni and Nicholas Walter. Dear brother of the late Clara (late James) Paliatsos, Panagiota (late James) Kappas, Louie (Kathy) Vardikos, and Theodora (Paul) Barlas. Fond uncle, cousin, and friend to many. May His Memory be Eternal!

Visitation for Mr. Karakatsanis will take place Wednesday November 5th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Palos Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 South Southwest Highway Palos Hills Illinois 60465. Trisagion Service will be held 6:00 PM. Family and friends are asked to meet Thursday morning 9:45 AM directly at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 7560 Archer Road justice Illinois 60458 for the 10:00 AM Funeral Service. Nikolaos will be laid to rest alongside his beloved Eleni at Bethania Cemetery.
