Maureen Alioto

August 30, 1948 - January 2, 2024

Maureen Alioto was a beloved gift from God - she was the wife of Joseph Alioto, the beloved mother of Michael and Anna Alioto, and a dear sister to Rita and Robert Lerch and John McDermott, and Jance, Michael McDermott and Lynn, Tom McDermott and Ann and Joanne and Rob Alexsick.

Maureen was a loving and caring mother, wife, sister, and friend. She loved those around her genuinely, kindly, and selflessly; she deeply loved her savior Jesus. She was a prayer warrior, an avid bible reader, a beloved daughter of Jesus, and a faithful witness to him. She loved learning and teaching others, both professionally, as a school teacher and mother, and as a ministry at Palos Community church where she attended since 1986 and served as a Deacon and Sunday School and Confirmation Teacher. The joy of the Lord was her strength and empowered her to be an example of hopeful resilience while living much of her life with Multiple Sclerosis. She will be deeply missed, even as we know she is now whole in the presence of the Lord she loved so much.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, January 6, 2023 at Palos Community Church,12312 South 88th Ave. , Palos Park, IL  9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
