Mary Eileen Madden

Mary Eileen Madden, 50, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2024 at her home in Palos Hills. Mary is survived by her loving parents, John and Eileen Madden; her cherished siblings, Michael (Kathleen) Madden, Sarah (Terry) O’Connor, and Kathleen (Peter) Dakuras. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.                                   

Mary was born and raised in Oak Lawn and was a parishioner of St. Linus Catholic Church for most of her life. She graduated from Mt. Assisi High School in 1993 and was a devoted employee at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park for over 25 years. Mary was an active member in the Adult Literacy Program at Moraine Valley, where she attended numerous classes and made lifelong friends. She was a passionate music lover and made it her mission to buy tickets to as many concerts as she could. Mary loved birthday parties, swimming pools, Disney movies, shopping, and her beloved dachshund, Millie. She especially cherished spending time fishing at her family’s lake home in Indiana. Mary will be remembered for her big smile, kind nature, and generous heart. She adored her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and brought so much love and laughter to their lives.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills, IL. Funeral Wednesday, July 3, 2024 9:00 a.m. from Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church, mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy SepulchreCemetery.

The Madden family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Park Lawn, Misericordia, or PAWS.
