Mary Ann Klosak, 90, resident of Mokena IL peacefully passed away on February 21, 2026. Mary Ann was born on February 12, 1936, to Xavier and Catherine Wachowski. She was the youngest of two. She had one brother, the late Floyd. She married the love of her life, Robert, in 1957, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in deep devotion, laughter, and shared dreams. Along the way, they were blessed with six wonderful children who became the heart of their journey.
Mary Ann was a joyful and cheerful presence, someone who brought comfort and love to everyone around her. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed and appreciated. Her deep love for family and friends was always evident. Mary Ann enjoyed a good game of Bunco, Bingo, cards, and puzzles. She was also a devoted fan of the Hallmark Channel, often laughing out loud as she watched her favorite shows.
Her gentle heart extended to animals as well. She adored her pet cat, Avery, and formed a special bond with the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks she lovingly fed outside each day.
Mary Ann was truly selfless, always giving more of herself than she ever expected in return. She had a loving nature that made everyone feel special, supported, and seen. Her patience was remarkable, steady, gentle, and comforting in every moment. To all who knew her, Mary Ann was “home”, a place of warmth, safety, and unconditional love.
She will be dearly missed by so many. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert. She will be dearly missed by her children, Gary (Laura), Kathy (Ken) Dennis, Karen (Tom) Windt, Carol (Jim) Nayder, Joe (the late Sue), and Connie (Louie) George. She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, each of whom brought added joy and light into her life.
Dear Aunt to Sharon (the late Robert) D’Amico and many other great and great-great nieces and nephews.
