Marie A. Arrigoni. age 81, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Marie was the beloved wife of Alvin “Butch ”Arrigoni, who preceded her in death, loving mother of Christine and Craig Arrigoni (Christine). Devoted grandma of Bradley and Bret Arrigoni. Cherished daughter of the late Christopher and Geraldine(nee Passafiume) Sangiacomo. Dearest sister oft he late Annette (the late Tom) O'Dea, Geraldine(the late Jim) Ennis, sister-in-law of the late Arrie(the late Charlotte) Arrigoni, and Arlene (Raymond)Kroll. She was a proud and fond aunt to her many nieces and nephews, and a treasured and faithful friend to countless others. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Marie later made her home in Palos Hills after her marriage. She and her husband, Butch, ultimately settled in Palos Park in2005 as a resident of Edelweiss in the Park, where she lived out the remainder of her life. For 26years, Marie played a vital role working at the Community Nutrition Network (CNN) of Oak Lawn as Director and Activity Coordinator. She also dedicated herself to a lifetime of service, most recently as Village Clerk of Palos Park for many years. Marie was deeply involved in her community as the founder and program coordinator of the Palos Park Senior Club, serving as a board member and special events coordinator for the Palos Park Women’s Club, and was an ardent member of the Palos Park Garden Guild. A generous and committed volunteer, she selflessly provided many years of service to Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital, Brookfield Zoo Chicago, and many other organizations close to her heart. Additionally, Marie loved to cook, was an avid reader, a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears, enjoyed traveling, and embraced a healthy, active lifestyle. Above all, she lived a life rooted in love, completely devoted to her family, notably her two grandsons, her service to others, and the community she cherished.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, 9:15 a.m. prayers at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills, IL 60465 to Sacred Heart Church, mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
