December 12, 1967 - November 3, 2025

Maria Guadalupe lovingly known as, “Lupita” passed away after a long battle with endometrial cancer. Devoted wife to Luis R. Villarreal of 34 years. Loving mother to Mariana Villarreal-Wallace (Kurt Wallace) and Luis Villarreal Jr. (Nacira Parra). Adoring grandmother to William, and Alexandra. Beloved daughter to Gregorio and Maria Rosario Cisneros.

Lupita was born and raised in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. She later immigrated to the United States in 1991 and created roots in Chicago, IL. She loved to travel, spend time with family and loved learning new things in life. Lupita was surrounded by her loving family during her time of passing. Her laughter, strength, and enthusiasm in which she faced all of life’s obstacles was admirable.

Family and friends will gather for a memorial visitation on Friday, November 14, 2025, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, l11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, IL 60465 (Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks a donation to be made to The American Cancer Society on behalf of Maria G. Villareal (Lupita).

Lupita’s legacy lives on in the love she gave to her family, the traditions she passed down, and the family she raised to be. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

María Guadalupe, conocida cariñosamente como "Lupita", falleció después de una larga batalla contra el cáncer de endometrio. Querida esposa de Luis R. Villarreal durante 34 años. Madre amorosa de Mariana Villarreal-Wallace (Kurt Wallace) y Luis Villarreal Jr. (Nacira Parra). Querida Abuela de William y Alexandra. Amada hija de Gregorio y María Rosario Cisneros.

Lupita nació y creció en Monterrey, Nuevo León. Más tarde emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1991 y establecio raíces en Chicago, IL. Le encantaba viajar, pasar tiempo con la familia yle encantaba aprender cosas nuevas en la vida. Lupita estuvo rodeada de su amorosa familia durante el tiempo de su fallecimiento. Su risa, fuerza y entusiasmo con el que enfrentó todos los obstáculos de la vida fue admirable.

Familiares y amigos se reunirán para una visita conmemorativa el viernes 14 de noviembre de 2025, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM en la Funeraria Palos-Gaidas, ubicada en 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, IL 60465

(Entierro en el cementerio del Santo Sepulchre).

En lugar de flores, la familia pide que se haga una donación a la Sociedad Americana del Cáncer en nombre de: María G. Villareal (Lupita).
