Joseph Patrick Terri Sr. proud father of Joseph (Judy), Kevin (Hilary), Angelina (Nick) Franklin and was preceded by his son Michael, passed away at home on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the age of 73. Joe took great pride in being a grandparent of Emma, Daniel, Caitlin, Kevin, Jack, Charlotte, Adalynn, JoJo, Lucy, and Axel. He loved them all dearly and will be missed by them more than he could ever know. Joe was a dear brother of James (Janet) Terri, Joann (Bob) Drozd and was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Mary (Gudgeon) Terri, his brother Anthony “Butch” Terri. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He was born in Chicago in 1950 and lived in the Bridgeport neighborhood for most of his young life before relocating to Mt. Greenwood. When Joe wasn’t working hard on the back of a garbage truck or bringing home treasures from the big store, he was a bartender at several establishments. Most of his spare time was spent dispensing free therapy on the other side of the bar listening, and never judging. All will dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted to them. Among them was to accept the way things are because “what can you do, it is what it is.” Visitation Thursday 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Palos Gaidas Funeral Home. Funeral Friday 10:30 a.m. from the Funeral Home to St. Christina Church for 11:30 a.m. Mass, located at 3342 W. 111th St., Chicago, Il. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
