John C. Rossini

John Carl Rossini was reunited with his wife Sharlene of 40+ years on June 24, 2025. Born to Carl and Justine (Hranicka)Rossini on August 09, 1958. He was the brother to 2 sisters, Gale Raschke (Mark) and Loretta Rossini; father to Christina and Anthony; brother-in-law to Max, Joe, & Jim as well ascherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He attended Epiphany Catholic Grammar School and then St. Rita of Cascia High School where he graduated in 1976. Due to his mother he became an alter boy for many years. He was an avid sports fan constantly watching Nascar and rooting for hisChicago hometown teams, the White Sox, the Bears and undoubtedly the Blackhawks.

John was known for his willingness to help others when in need and would generally be quiet in nature unless he was attending a volleyball game for his daughter Christina, a hockey game for his son Anthony, or watching Married with Children or Tool Time laughing hysterically on the couch. He carried the weight if the world on his shoulders working multiple jobs to support his family in any way possible. One of John’s passions was bowling. He bowled for the better part of his life, traveling to other cities for tournaments with his buddies, participating in leagues with his wife, and even managing a bowling alley because he just couldn’t get enough of being around the sport. He even tried to get his children involved in bowling, but they preferred to run around the bowling alley causing trouble.

One thing you could always count on John for was feeding his dogs human food. If he had a plate of spaghetti and sausage, the dogs had a plate of spaghetti and sausage. And you better believe they always had ice cream for dessert at the end of the night.

He loved his children above all else, whether it was taking them to after-school activities, sporting events, or just watching them grow up, he was always there to support his children in everything they did no matter the distance to sporting events or the late nights getting home from games. In his later years, the great nieces and nephews kept him young as well as the children his daughter watched over.
