Loving father of Jann (Bob) Shackleton, Alsip, IL, Karyn (Gary) Cooney, Orland Park, IL, John (Diane) Katsibubas, Orland Hills, IL, David (Diane) Katsibubas, Worth, IL. Proud grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 16. Dear brother of Peter Kats, Babs Vencil; predeceased by sisters Mary Bertsos and Deedee (Diane) Flaherty, and brother Tom Katsibubas. John is a member of the Illinois Slow Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. John Returned to Chicago after 20 years in Las Vegas to be with family.

Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, September 20, 2025 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service 12:30 p.m. at Palos- Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills, IL.  Interment Private.
