John W. Hammerstein of Palos Hills, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 29, 2023
beloved husband of Joan Hammerstein for over 60 years.; loving father of Cheryl (Bruce) Gianpetro, Cindy
(John) Siperly and Mark (Brigid) Hammerstein; cherished grandfather of Maria and Nate Gianpetro, Eric,
Austin, Luke, and Jack Siperly and Francesca Hammerstein; great-grandfather of Autumn and Isabella Siperly
Son of the late John and Celia nee Maciejka Hammerstein of Chicago. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather ,
uncle and friend. He will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew him.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Funeral Monday, 11:15 a.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills, IL to Sacred Heart
Church, mass 12:00 p.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery
