John J. Flynn

John J. Fynn, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 11, 1942, son of the late Patrick and Hazel Flynn. Beloved husband of the late Alice (Brann) Flynn. Loving Father of John (Joanne) Flynn, Maureen (Karl) Hitzeman, James (Michelle) Flynn and the late Christine Balandis. Cherished Grandfather of Shawn (Jon) Jones, Jamie (late Symon) Uecker, Jessica (Josh) Mooi, Shannen Hitzeman, Laura (Anthony) Warnecke, and the late Michael Balandis. Proud Great Grandfather of Roland "Gino", Lincoln, Emmett, and Theo. Proceeded in death by his brothers Raymond "Mickey" and Patrick "Lefty" (Patricia) Flynn. Fond Uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend to many. John was a proud retired teamster, an avid bowler, and had a love for camping. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation Tuesday, May 20, 2025, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills, Il 60465. Funeral Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Terrence Worship Site of Incarnation Parish, 4300 West 119th Place, Alsip for an 11:00 a.m. Mass.  Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
