Jean A. Kurth

Jean Ann Kurth, nee McElroy, died peacefully on February 8th, 2024. She is the beloved wife of David, cherished mother to Brian (Sara), Theresa (Oscar), and the late Steven; and proud grandmama of Magdalena and Julian. She was deeply religious and devoted to helping others. She was an active member of the Association of Jeanne Jugan and often volunteered at the Little Sisters of the Poor, where her own mother resided prior to her death in 2008. She was tenacious and persistent, and would have made an excellent lawyer had she not chosen to devote herself wholly to her family. She will be terribly missed, but we know she is at peace and in a better place now. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday, February 15, 2024 9:15 a.m. prayers at palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11027 Southwest Hwy., Palos Hills, Illinois 60465 to Sacred Heart Church, Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery
