Jimmy "Elvis" Szimakowski, beloved brother and friend to many in the Palos Hills and surrounding area. Jimmy was well known for his kind and optimistic spirit. He shared his love for entertainment and music, especially of Elvis Presley, at many a church picnic, dinner dance, Friendship Fest, karaoke venue, and Elvis impersonator performance.

Jimmy was devoted to Sacred Heart Parish and participated in as many activities as he could. He made friends easily and kept them for life.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. On Friday, December 22, the funeral will commence at 10:00 a.m. from the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills, IL, to Sacred Heart Church for an 11:30 a.m. Mass. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, 8700 S. Hamlin in Evergreen Park.
