Irene Mentel

Irene Mentel (nee) Kulinski 96, of Palos Hills and formerly of Chicago West Lawn neighborhood passed away Friday morning January 24, 2020 at her home with her family at her side. Beloved wife of the late Edward for over 57 years. Loving mother of Henry (Carol), Christine Gogots, Joanne (Thomas) Cerny, and Michelle Lee. Dearest grandma of Tina, James, Jason (Colleen), Mark (Candace), the late Jessica, Zak, Ashley (Faries), Valerie (Keith) and Stephanie. Great great grandma of Alyssa, Emily, Ray, Jack, Addison, Max, Mason, Bryan and Jayson. Dear sister of Mary, Helen, and Stanley. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Irene will be dearly missed by many and always remembered for her kindness and especially her passion for her rose garden.  Visitation will be Wednesday January 29th from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 South Southwest Highway (7700 W) Palos Hills 60465. Funeral Thursday 9:00 AM from the funeral home to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Justice, Illinois.
