Paskutinius metus gyveno MarcoIsland, Floridoje, anskščiauLemont, Palos Park, IL ir Čikagoje, Marquette Parke.Nuliūde liko: vaikai Jovita su vyru Raymond, Gintare su vyru Kurt, Dainė, ir Albertas, Jr. su žmona Lilija.Anūkai Alexander su žmona Melissa kartu su proanūkaisNathan ir Connor; Andrew, Peter, Lukas, Linas, Gabrielle, Artūras, Rasa, Aliukas (Albertas III), ir Ūla.

1944m. sušeima pasitraukė į Vokietija. Gyveno pabėjelių stovyklos Augsburge ir SchwabishGmunde. Baigė gimnazija. 1950 metaispatiatplaukė į NewOrleans, Louisiana, JAV ir toliau į Wichita KS kur mokinosi SacredHeartCollege. 1952m. sutikošeimaČikagojeirtesėsavomokslus Loyola Universitete. Sekančiais metais jų namas sudego ir prarado viska ką buvo susitaupe. Irena nebemokinosi, o ėjo dirbti Bennet BrothersCo. kompanijos prezidento sekretorė. 1958m. apsivedė Albertą Kerelį ir augino šeimą. Vaikams suauge, Irena grįžo dirbti ir perėmė Kerelis, Inc., nekilmojimo turto priežiūros kompanija. Ji ten dirbo kol vyras, Albertas, susirgo vėžio jį prižiūrėti.A.A. Irena įstojo į skautus Lietuvoje ir tesėskautavima Vokietijoje ir JAV. Čikagoje įstojo į Lietuvių Skautų Sąjungos Kernavės tuntą. Buvo draugininkė, tuntininkė, rajono vadė, Seserijos Vyriausia Skautininkė, bei LSS Tarybos Pirmininko Pavaduotoje. Buvo viena iš pirmūjų lietuvių skautų įsigyti Pasaulio Skautų „WoodBadge“ pažymėjima. Buvo apdovanota „Geležinio Vilko Ordinu“, LSS aukščiausias ordinas. Per savo Vyriausios Skautininkės kadencija Seserija išleido knyga „Sese Budėk!”. A.A. Irena irbuvoaktyvikituoselietuvių bendruomenės organizacijose: Lietuvių Jaunimo Centro Taryboje, Kristojono Donelaičio mokyklos tėvų komitete, bei talkininkavo Palaiminto Jurgio Matulaičio Misijoje.Velionė bus pašarvota Palos-Gaidas FuneralHomerugpjiūcio11d. nuo 4 v.v. iki 8 v.v. Rugpjiūčio12d. 9 v.r.vyksatsiveikinimas, o 10 v.r. mišios Palaiminto Jurgio Matulaičio Misijoje. Bus palaidota Šv. Kazimierio kapinėse. In Memoria of IRENA KERELIS (AUSUIKAITIS) IRENA KERELIS (AUSIUKAITIS) passed away on August 3 at the age of 92 in the shelter of her beloved daughter Dainė. Born in 1932 in Jurbarkas, Lithuania to the Vincas and Melvina (Korsakas) Ausiukaitis. In her last years she lived in Marco Island, FL, formerly of Lemont, Palos Park, IL and Marquette Park, Chicago. She is mourned by her children Jovita with her husband Raymond, Gintare with her husband Kurt, Dainė, and Albertas, Jr. with his wife Lilija. Grandchildren Alexander and wife Melissa along with great-grandsons Nathan and Connor; Andrew, Peter, Lukas, Linas, Gabrielle, Artūras, Rasa, Aliukas (Albert III), and Ula. 

In 1944 she emigrated to Germany with her family. They lived in refugee camps in Augsburg and Schwabish Gmunde. where she graduated from high school. In 1950 her family immigrated to Chicago where she continued her education at Loyola University. In the following year, their house burned down and they lost everything they had saved. Irena stopped studying and went to work at Bennet Brothers Co. as the executive secretary to the company’s president. In 1958 she married Albertas Kerelis and raised a family. After the children grew up, Irena returned to work and ran Kerelis, Inc., a real estate management company. She left there to take care of her husband, Albertas, after he was diagnosed with cancer. Irena joined the Girl Scouts in Lithuania and continued scouting in Germany and the USA. In Chicago, she joined the Kernavėsgirl’s division of the Lithuanian Scouts Association. She was a scout leader, district commander, Senior Scout of the Girl Scouts, and Deputy Chairman of the LSS Board of Directors. She was one of the first Lithuanian scouts to acquire the "Wood Badge" certificate of the World Scouts. She was awarded the "Order of the Iron Wolf", the highest order of the LSS. During her tenure as Chief Scout, the Girl Scouts published the book "Sese Budek!" a guide to scouting. Irena was also active in other organizations of the Lithuanian community: the Board of Directors of the Lithuanian Youth Center, the parents' committee of the Kristojonos Donelaitis school, and she assisted at Blessed Jurgis Matulaitis Mission. The deceased will be laid to rest at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home on August 11 from 4 pm to 8pm. On August 12 at 9 a.m. there will be a funeral visitation, and at 10 a.m. mass at Blesses Jurgis Matulaitis Mission. She will be buried in St. Casimir Lithuanian Catholic Cemetery cemetery. We sincerely invite relatives, friends and acquaintances to participate in this funeral.
