Beloved wife of the late John J. Geuss (Ret Col USMCR) for 74 years.
Loving mother of Cheryl (Robert) Taves and Nancy (Rick) Fehr. Cherished grandmother of Adam (Erin) Taves, Elizabeth (Ryan) Mraz, Aaron (Megan) Taves, Katharine (Curtis) Heide, and Patricia (Kevin) Krieter. Adored great-grandmother of Audrey Taves, Ava Mraz, Alexander Taves, Kaleigh Krieter, Aiden Taves, Isla and Quinn Krieter, Lena Heide, and Emma Taves. Dear sister of the late Doris (the late Bill) Adams. Loving Aunt of Kenneth Adams, Diane (Tom) Sobehrad, and Carol (the late Gary) Jones, and dear friend to many.
Gladys was a Girl Scout co-leader of Troop 331 for many years. Member of the Palos Park Women's Club and the Buick Club of America. She loved skiing, playing tennis, and traveling the world. She was an accomplished seamstress, china painter, and an avid gardener.
Heartfelt thanks to caregivers Galyna Gatalevitch, Nancy Lisula, and Pat Sierzega who lovingly provided compassionate care and companionship to Gladys.
A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on January 23, 2026 from 10:00 AM to the time of Service at 12:00 PM at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity are appreciated.
