Florian J. Franke, age 73. Chemist with Honeywell UOP for 51 years, retiring at the age of 70. Florian was a 40-plus year avid fisherman. He enjoyed nature, traveling the world and spending time with his family. He was also a lifelong Chicago sports fan. Beloved son of the late Florian and Elizabeth Franke.  Devoted husband of Susan Franke (Nee Hotcaveg) and the late Geraldine Franke (Nee O’Neill).  Loving father of Jennifer (Gilberto) Cruz and the late Florian J. Franke III.  Cherished papa of Julian, Melissa and Angelica Cruz. Dear brother of Francis (Virginia) Franke. Visitation Tuesday 3-8pm. Funeral Service Wednesday 11:00 am at the Palos Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills. In lieu of flowers please consider a Memorial Tree Planting is his name. Interment private
