Dorothy M. Walker

Dorothy Walker, (nee Troupe) age 94 of Oak Lawn, Illinois. Wife of the late Bill Walker married for 56 years before he passed; loving mother to Jo Anne Anderson, Tommy Walker (Patty) of Jenison MI, Bob Walker (Nancy) and Dain Walker of Illinois; grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 19 and great great grandmother of 1, Aunt Dottie to numerous nieces and nephews; she was the beloved sister of the late Margie Heise of Bass Lake Indiana; also preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Joseph, Elmer, Norman and another sister Madeline. She followed her husband while he served in the Navy during World War II and for the next 20 years. She was a Donna Reed type Mom; she had a soft spoken and kind spirit. She was cared for by her family for the 20 years following her husband’s death. She played a very serious and frequent game of yahtzee to the delight of her children.       Visitation from 3 pm to 9 pm,Thursday,May 10th at Palos- Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy.
