Donald Paul Lasica (DPL) 

November 30, 1947 – May 18, 2025 

Donald Paul Lasica, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 18, 2025. Born on November 30, 1947, in Chicago to Lenoa and Felix Lasica, he was a devoted family man and a cornerstone of every gathering.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Kathleen; four children: Danny (Kelli), and their children Alex, Daniel, Eryn, Katie, Zach, Meghan, Maddison, Shawn, and John Paul; Kristen, and her child Brad Lee; Robbie (Sara), and their children Thomas, Audry, and Max; and Sarah (JJ), and their children Tatum and Brooklyn. Donald also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Maisie, daughter of Daniel (Jada).

A lawyer by profession, he was an avid reader, a passionate history buff, and a dedicated member of his church. His love for his family was evident in all he did, and he cherished every moment spent with loved ones.

One of his most treasured qualities was his ability to bring people together. Known for his charisma and talent as a storyteller, he had a way of making everyone feel special. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched. Donald was the glue that held his family together, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation Wednesday, May 28, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday, May 29, 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to Sacred Heart Church located at 8245 W. 111th St., Palos Hills for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
