Clarence Arthur Coleridge

Clarence “Cole” Coleridge , age 94 of Dolton, Illinois passed away July 10, 2021 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Daphne Coleridge (Hennebury) of 69 years until her passing in June 2020. Son of William and Elfrida (King) Coleridge. Loving father to Douglas Coleridge (Sheri) of Parker, Colorado; daughter Janet Vickers (Joseph; devoted grandfather to Brandon Coleridge (Candice), Jenna Pronger (Gregory) and Jayce Vickers. Great grandfather to Rylan Coleridge, Oakley Pronger and Arya Pronger. Cole is proceeded in death by his loving wife Daphne, parents William and Elfrida Coleridge, his siblings, Peter Coleridge, Calvin Coleridge and Frances Maidment (Coleridge). Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At a young age, his family moved to St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada. In 1944, he joined the US Army and subsequently became a member of the newly formed United States Air Force. While stationed at Pepperrell AFB in Newfoundland, he met the love of his life Daphne. They were married on Valentine’s Day, 1951. Cole, Daphne, Doug and Jan were deployed on 2 tours of duty in Wiesbaden, Germany and several US locations. Cole served 30 years in the United States Air Force Special Air Missions throughout the world with particular emphasis on Europe, Middle East, Africa and S.E. Asia. Cole lived his life dedicated to his family and country, both of which will miss him. In lieu of flowers donations to P.A.W.S. of Tinley Park, Il. 60487 would be appreciated.
