Audrey Krusnis (née McNichols), beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother passed from this world suddenly on October 27, 2025. Audrey lived life with an open heart and arms ready to hug. Born in Chicago, IL to Kenneth and Florence McNichols, as the middle child of seven, she was always surrounded by family. She loved being around friends and family and it brought her such joy to celebrate any occasion, no matter how big or small. Audrey showed her love through her food. Chances are that if you knew her, you'd have indulged in her bacon buns, kugelis, ribs, or one of her many other tried and true recipes.
Devoted wife of 50 years to Vyto, not many knew Audrey without him. Audrey had said, “I’m so lucky to have stayed with my one true love because I’ve only ever had one true love.” She shared her heart and love with her daughters, her sons in law, her grandkids/dog, and everyone else in her life. To know Audrey is to be loved by her. She has made an impact on so many lives and will be greatly missed.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband, Vyto Krusnis; her beautiful daughters Katie Krusnis (Mike Sopkin), Vicki (Rob) Fink; her treasured grandchildren Gavin and Jimmy Fink; her wonderful siblings and their spouses; her cousins; and many nieces and nephews.
