Anne I. McGuire

Anne I. McGuire, age 82 years, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. She was surrounded by family and friends but went on her own terms.

She was proceeded in death by her loving parents Irene ( Howenstein) Clonts and Jesse Clonts. Growing up in Troy, Missouri she enjoyed going out hunting with her Daddy and making clothes with her Mama.

Anne was an accomplished French teacher earning two masters degrees from University of Missouri and the University of Illinois after studying in Paris. As a teacher her ability to make learning fun and meaningful left a lasting impact on her students- she always enjoyed hearing about former students accomplishments.

She was an incredible Mother to her daughter Diane McGuire /Donald Kirchhoff and shared many precious moments with her Granddaughter Briana Kirchhoff. Anne had many people that she mothered as a second Mother through the years in the true sense of the words including Michael Sykes. She dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother.

Anne battled cancer and dementia for the past three years like a true warrior. In her last days “Annie” was surrounded by the love of her amazing caregivers, family, friends who helped her keep her spunk. Nothing ever took away her fight or spirit and we couldn’t have been more proud.
